What We Offer
ACTS staff are trained mental health professionals offering a variety of supportive services tailored to the mental health needs of people living with HIV/AIDS. Our services include individual, group, and family-based counseling to support mental health and well-being.
Our Services Include:
- Individual Counseling and Therapy: Discuss personal issues, substance use, sobriety, and develop a treatment plan to meet your personal goals.
- Family/Couples Psychotherapy: Address a wide range of issues such as HIV/AIDS status disclosure, grief, communication, loneliness, trust, and behavior change in relationships.
- Supportive Counseling: Support in managing situational issues such as grief, dealing with a new diagnosis, isolation, treatment adherence, and more, in individual or group counseling formats.
- Therapeutic Groups: Focus on issues like adjusting to an HIV diagnosis, depression, anxiety, reducing substance use, managing sobriety, and addressing concerns related to sex, anger, and/or substance use.
- Psychiatric Medication Management: Assistance for those who may need medication to address mental health issues and/or substance use, including alcohol and opioids.
- Beyond Our Walls: Support in the community, including accompaniment to medical appointments and assistance connecting with community resources.
Hybrid services are available in-person, via WhatsApp, or over the phone, depending on individual needs and preferences.
